1.. Hello Dr. Green.. As because we didn't talk for a long while please tell us it was any change in the band's line-up and what's up with you in nowadays?
We came back from one more euro-tour in April 04. First time we played in the Netherlands and it was a nice experience about this place of Europe, before known mostly for smoking cannabis stuff. Gigs in Czech were nice too.
As you may know we've released a split with Hungarians Semmi Kommoly. Some live records from 2001 were published on this CD.
Unfortunately fire in our "Green" club and some line-up changes slowed down us for a while. Original drummer and sax player left us, instead we have a young guy on drums and even younger girl on trombone.
There are some new songs, but still not enough for a record...
2.. Well, when this issue will out on the street our countries will be members of the European Union. What do you think, how much useful to be the part of an union and how much hurtful? How much keep the countries of their self-reliance?
Yeah, we're in EU already and nothing's changed. Well, i think for Lithuania it's important to become EU member because of economic and political reasons as we have quite dreadful neighbours Russia and Belarus, also as poor country Lithuania will get a lot of benefits from rich EU collegues. EU entering is a good promotion for the country like Lithuania, especially for those who still think that it is "Russia". Living without borders is also good idea, pitty that non-EU people are left outside.
On the other hand, we've faced higher prices on everyday products like milk or bread. Also prices for petroleum are getting higher and higher. Countries that promised to open their markets for labour from East Europe, later changed their minds. The idea that instead of local government we have one more "European" above isn't very exciting.
Self-reliance of the people and the country grew up after entering EU, because the fact of the entering means the direction was chosen right and the transitional period was well done. If you ask about extintion of the nations and their heritage in Europe, there is no real danger. Let's take BeNeLux union for example, which is fine example of cooperation. Nobody thought that there was danger for Belgium, Netherlands or Luxembourg to disappear.
The negative and positive sides and mostly it depends on our minds what we see: almost full glass or almost empty glass.
3.. What do you think about the military foreign politics against the Middle-East. How much feel right the attack of Afghanistan and Iraq? Can be that situations one man of the six milliard stand up and interpose into an inner politics of an other country?
You can't answer this question straight... Of course, United States of Aggression proved their standing one more time. We see that Americans are unable to bring the stability neither in Aphganistan nor in Iraq, especially after the "real" war was finnished. They can't understand that there are different traditions, different way of life. Americans see these regions as potential markets for their multicorporations. Sad, but loudly declared values like liberty or democracy are not on the top of the list. But blind anti-US and supporting all Muslim radicals are not the right way as well. The clash of Christian and Muslim worlds is very complicated question. It seems nobody can answer it at the moment and humanity is sinking in one of the most complicated conflicts. Though Muslims are blamed for radicalism, Christianity began invasions and occupation of the world long time ago. The worst thing that our children will afraid muslims just because their muslim and the same will be from their side...
4.. In Hungary in the nearly past accept the law against animal torture. What do you think how much have retentive power of this law in our everydays mainly if you remember the disgusting whale/delphin/seal massacres when nobody do nothing.
We see the green planet is dying... Humanity is dominating breed with limited intelligence rolling over the planet like a bulldozer. Some people became vegetarians or vegans, there are new laws to prevent nature, lots of money are thrown into various programmes to save vanishing species or plants. It's good, but not enough... Humanity must change the direction of the production and economy. The damaging of the nature, must be included in a price of toxic products. Of course, better way, that the all kinds of science would take nature-friendly direction of developing. It's impossible when human race is busy with war, empty luxury, blind consumption and things like that.
5.. About the Doc. Green. You have a split record with the Hungarian Semmi Komoly recently. What was reception of this album in Lithuania. When will be out your next record?
People were happy to hear something "new" for us, but it's too short and actually old... Can't say the reception was exceptional, rather normal. People are more interested in our new record. We have new songs, but not enough for the album. Changing of the drummer and fire at "Green" club (our rehearsal place) suspended us for some time. We would be glad to record new sounds in the end of 2004, but...
6.. Where we can see the band in summer? And when we can see the band in Hungary? Are you planning a tour in the future?
At the moment we're invited to 2 festivals: "Tabuns" in Latvia and "Sun of Jamaica" in Poland. We had euro-tour in April and since some of us are working people, there is a problem with free time... So we can't accept all the invitations.
We plan next tour in the UK in 2005, so Hungary isn't on the way unfortunately...
7.. I almost forget ask about your squat and Green Club. Doing these in nowadays or they are closed?
Original "Green" club was set on fire and was burnt completely in November, 2003. Because the squat was in the same building, all people left it. 5 years of illegal actions is quite a long time, isn't it? At the moment there is no squat in Vilnius. There are just some places rented by groups of people. But "Green" club is alive at the new place - big supposed-to-be art-centre. We must pay for the electricity, some other expenses, but in general it's quite ok. Recently Barackcka from Hungary played here. More info: http://hardcore.lt/greenclub/. Though nothing can replace legendary old place, which was one of the highlights of our lives...
8.. What is the message of the Lithuanian rude boy for the Hungarian rudies? Well, thanks for your interview and thank for the support. All the best and a lot of success for the band. And sorry for my bad english!
We are not rudies :) and our message is for everyone in diy scene - think for yourself and try to be yourself in everyday life. Don't let your brains die leaving a body for the further existence.

1. Hello dr.Green. Mivel jó régóta nem hallottam felőletek, kérlek mond el, hogy mi változott a zenekar házatáján?
Épp most tértünk haza egy nagy európai turnéról. Először játszottunk Hollandiában és remek tapasztalatokat szereztünk Európa eme szegletéről, amely leginkább a legális cannabis fogyasztási lehetőségéről híres. A koncertek Csehországban szintén nagyszerűek voltak. Gondolom azt már tudod, hogy csináltunk egy split lemezt a magyar Semmi Komoly zenekarral, amelyen néhány élő felvételünk is rajta van, még 2001-ből. Sajnálatosan néhány szerencsétlen dolog hátráltatott is bennünket, mint például, hogy leégett a Green club, illetve néminemű változás a zenekar felállásában. Az eredeti dobosunk és szaxofonosunk elhagyott bennünket, helyettük jött egy fiatal dobos srác és egy még fiatalabb trombitás lány. Van már egy pár új számunk is, de még nem elég egy új albumhoz…
2. Nos, mire ez a szám megjelenik, addigra országaink EU-s tagállamok lesznek. Mit gondolsz, mennyire hasznos illetve haszontalan dolog egy unió részének lenni? Mennyire tarthatják meg az országok az autonomitásukat?
Igen, bent vagyunk az EU-ban és semmi nem változott. Nos, úgy gondolom, hogy gazdasági és politikai szempontból Litvániának fontos, hogy tagja legyen az Európai Uniónak, akárcsak hasonlóan szegény szomszédjainak, hiszen így több segélyt kaphat a gazdagabb uniós társállamoktól. Ezenkívül a belépés jó promóciós lehetőség volt, főleg azok számára, akik még mindig azt hiszik, hogy ez Oroszország. Határok nélkül élni szintén jó ötlet, bár fájlalom, hogy a nem uniós lakosok kívül rekedtek. Másrészről viszont szembesülnünk kell az egyre magasabb árakkal, ami főleg a mindennapi árucikkeket érinti, mint például a tej vagy a kenyér. A benzin ára szintén csak emelkedik és emelkedik. Azok az országok, akik azt ígérték, hogy megnyitják munkaerő piacukat a keleti blokk most csatlakozott országai előtt, most simán megváltoztatták a véleményüket. Az emberek és az országok önállósága megnőtt a csatlakozás után, mert a belépés ténye azt jelentette, hogy a haladási útvonal jól lett kijelölve és az átmeneti időszak is jól sikerült. Ha kérdésedben a nemzetek önállóságára és azok európai örökségére gondoltál, azok nincsenek igazi veszélyben. Vegyük példának a BeNeLux államokat, ahol jól működik a kooperáció. Senki sem gondolta, hogy ez az unió létrejöttével majd eltűnik majd bármelyik ország. Van jó és rossz oldala az EU-nak, de ez főleg attól függ, hogy miként látjuk: egy majdnem teli pohár, vagy egy majdnem üres pohár.
3. Hogyan vélekedtek a Közel-Keleten zajló eseményekről. Mennyire érzitek jogosnak a háborút Afganisztán és Irak ellen. Jogos-e az a helyzet, hogy egy ember a hat milliárd közül fel áll, és beleavatkozik egy másik ország belpolitikájába?
Ezt a kérdést nem lehet egyenesen megválaszolni… Természetesen az USA (ahogy Domas találóan fogalmaz United States of Agression – dex.)már többször megpróbálta hitelesíteni a jelenlétét. Úgy látjuk, hogy Amerika képtelen arra, hogy stabilitást hozzon mind Irakba, mind Afganisztánba, különös tekintettel arra, hogy az „igazi” háború már befejeződött. Nem képesek megérteni, hogy ott teljesen mások a tradíciók és az életvitel – Amerika úgy látja, hogy az a régió potenciális célja lehet a multijainak. Szomorú, de a máskor hangosan kiabált értékek, mint szabadság és demokrácia, ma nincsenek a lista csúcsán. De a vak amerika-ellenes, muszlim radikálisok támogatói sem járnak a helyes úton. A keresztény és a muszlim világ összecsapása nagyon bonyolult kérdés. Úgy tűnik, senki sincs aki most meg tudná válaszolni a kérdést és az emberiség egyre inkább belesüllyed az egyik legkomplikáltabb konfliktusba. Habár a muszlimok hibáztathatóak a radikalizmusukért, a keresztények annak idején szinte az egész világot elfoglalták. A legrosszabb dolog ebben az egészben, hogy a gyerekeink félni fognak a muzulmánoktól, csak azért, mert ők muzulmánok, és a helyzet ott is hasonló lesz…
4. Magyarországon nem is olyan régen elfogadták az állatvédelmi törvényt. Mit gondolsz, mekkora visszatartó ereje van egy ilyen törvénynek mindennapjainkban, főleg ha a bálna/delfin/fóka mészárlásokra gondolunk, ahol senki nem tett semmit.
Látjuk, ahogy a zöld planétánk elpusztul… Az emberiség egy uralkodó állatfajta csekély intelligenciával, aki mint egy buldózer pusztítja a földet. Néhány ember vegetárinus vagy vega lesz, vannak új törvényeink a természet védelmének érdekében, sok pénzt pumpálnak olyan programokba, amelyek célja a kihalóban lévő állatok és növények megmentése. Ezek jó dolgok, de még nem elegendő… Az emberiségnek meg kell változtatni a termelés és a gazdálkodás irányvonalát. A természet pusztításának elhárítási költségeit bele kell kalkulálni a mérgező termékek árába. Természetesen sokkal jobb módszer lenne, ha az összes tudomány inkább természetbarát termékek kifejlesztésén fáradozna. Ez mindaddig lehetetlen, amíg az emberek el vannak foglalva a hadakozással, az üres fényűzéssel, a vak fogyasztással és a hasonló dolgokkal.
5. Újra rólatok. Volt egy split lemezetek a magyar Semmi Komoly-al. Milyen volt a lemez fogadtatása Litvániában. Mikor jön ki a következő albumotok?
Az emberek örültek, hogy hallhatnak valami "újat" tőlünk, de nagyon rövid volt az anyag és tulajdonképpen régi is. Nem mondanám, hogy a fogadtatás kivételes volt, inkább normális. Az embereket leginkább az új albumunk érdekli. Van már egy pár új számunk , de még nem elég egy új albumhoz. A dobos váltás és a klubbeli tűz visszavetett minket egy kis időre. Örülnénk, ha a következő album kész lenne 2004 végére, de…
6. Hol láthatunk titeket a nyáron és mikor jöttök hozzánk legközelebb? Tervek a jövőre nézve?
Jelenleg két meghívásunk van. A "Tabuns" fesztiválra (Litvánia) és a "Sun of Jamaica" (Lengylo.) Sokan dolgoznak közülünk, így akadnak problémák az időbeosztással és sajnos nem tudunk minden lehetőséget elvállalni. Tervezünk egy 2005-ös angliai turnét, de Magyarország sajnos még nincs betervezve…
7. Majdnem elfelejtettem kérdezni a foglalt házatokról és a Green Club-ról. Csináljátok még őket, vagy már bezártak.
Az eredeti Green Club tavaly novemberében lángra kapott és teljesen leégett. Mivel a squat is ugyan abban az épületben volt, minden embernek el kellett hagynia. 5 évnyi illegális akció meglehetősen sok idő, nemdebár? Jelenleg nincsen squat Vilniusba, helyette van egy pár hely amit különböző csoportok bérelnek. A Green Club most egy másik helyen működik – egy nagy(feltételezhetően)művészeti központban. Fizetnünk kell az áramért és van még néhány kiadásunk, de azért meglehetően okés a hely. Nemrégiben a Barackca játszott itt tőletek. Bővebb info itt: www.hardcore.lt/greenclub/. De semmi sem pótolhatja a legendás régi helyünket, ami egyike volt életünk csúcspontjának.

Nem vagyunk rudik :), de azt üzenjünk mindenkinek a diy színtéren – találjatok magatokra és próbáljatok magatok lenni a mindennapi életben is. Ne hagyjátok, hogy meghalni az agyatok.
